I own a turbo 2018 and have driven the non-turbo CX-5s and a pre-2019 Mazda3 (2.5L NA). The CX-5s felt quite a bit slower. I would be putting my foot down waiting for some feeling of power after a downshift but it would never come. The 3 was better but did not feel as fast as my 6.
