Unless you plan on visiting the museum I didn’t find this an area worth visiting. The architecture of some of the building was interesting but that was true throughout lesser town and old town too. Save the time and visit elsewhere. The shopping wasn’t anything special either. Loved Prague but this was one of the least impressive areas. A castle and church were built there and this was the seat for rulers until the seat of power was moved to Prague Castle in the 12th century. The area now has a park that goes throughout the facility. It is in a quiet residential area. There is no entry fee. The views around the outer walls provide great photos of the castle and city. Prague castle market - náměstí U Svatého Jiří. Timing: Open from Dec 2nd, 2023, to Jan 6, 2024, daily at 9 AM - 6 PM, on Sundays till 7 PM. This market is located between the gothic St Vitus Cathedral and St. George’s Basilica which makes it one of the most picturesque advent markets in Prague. This is one of the bigger Christmas Head to the Kunsthalle Praha, which opened in 2022 in a former electric station in the centre of Prague, and it’s worth visiting for its café terrace alone, which has brilliant views over • Kutna Hora Ossuary (day trip only)- bone ossuary (amazing) • Karlovy Vary • Brno • Cesky Krumlov (small but very beautiful, but kind of far and maybe not worth it if limited on time) • Zlute Lazne (private swimming area) • Pruhonice chateau/park (about an hour outside of Prague — really beautiful) • Karlstejn Castle
